Run and not grow weary

Isaiah 40:29-31 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

During my training, most of my runs have been difficult. I tell myself that I just have to keep going, I don't have the option of stopping. I can barely walk, let alone run because of how sore my body is. Then, I've had runs that are great! I feel like I can do anything and run faster. I have total confidence that I'll be able to run the 13.1 mile race.
I'm so thankful for this training experience. Even if for some reason I can't run the race next month, I'm thankful for the life lessons that I've learned. How I feel about running reminds me of the parallels of the walk/run of faith. Because sometimes, like running, my life is difficult and sometimes it's great! My faith is sometimes easy and sometimes it's hard. But I need to be placing my hope in the Lord and I need to let Him be strong where I am weak. I pray that He would use my weaknesses and my weariness.
